Develops and delivers astronomy and science programs for K–12 students and educators, including onsite field trips, distance learning, homeschool programs, teacher professional development, community outreach, and daytime or evening visitor-center programs. Evaluates programs and assists with events and educational materials.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in astronomy, science, education, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience; experience teaching or presenting to K–12 audiences; strong public-speaking, curriculum, technology, and organizational skills; ability to work occasional evenings and weekends and live or work at the remote observatory site.
