Grounds and Facilities Caretaker

About this role

Seeking experienced, full-time caretaker for grounds and facilities of historic ranch. We are looking for a motivated individual to help us maintain and improve a historic ranch property and home. Primary responsibility will be based around a large ranch house and grounds used by ranch owners and guests. Duties include seasonal mowing and landscaping, weed and brush control, spring and irrigation system maintenance, care and maintenance of house exterior, general repairs, maintenance of small equipment, and maintenance of other ranch facilities. The ranch headquarters compound should be in perfect order and ready to receive guests at any time. The work load around the headquarters varies seasonally, and though the primary focus of this position is stated above, this person will also help out with other ranch activities as time allows. We are heavily focused on capital improvements and continued upgrade of ranch infrastructure. Consistent attention to detail, self motivation, and pride in your work are a requirement. Must be in good physical shape and able to work outdoors year round. This is a full time, stable, long term opportunity with an excellent organization. You will be joining a great team. Ranch is located west of Balmorhea, TX on the north slope of the Davis Mountains. This is a beautiful place to work. There is currently no available on the ranch at this time, but, should the right candidate want to relocate for this position, we will work with them to facilitate a housing solution.
