About this role
For 27 years, the Food Pantry of Jeff Davis County has fed our neighbors, promoted healthy eating, and served as a trusted, dignified resource for our community. After 7 years leading the organization, our Executive Director is retiring, and we're looking for the person who will carry this work into its next chapter. We're looking for someone calm, compassionate, and genuinely invested in this community; someone who listens well, stays steady under pressure, and treats every neighbor who walks through our doors with dignity.
Requirements
We're looking for someone calm, compassionate, and genuinely committed to our mission. A non-judgmental, dignified approach to serving clients. Comfortable with ambiguity and juggling many priorities at once. Organized, detail-oriented, and a clear communicator who listens well to clients, staff, and this community. Familiarity with technology tools the job requires (Google Workspace, GiveButter, Weebly, and similar platforms). -Nonprofit management experience (or closely related field) -Experience supervising staff and/or volunteers -Strong written and verbal communication skills -Valid driver's license and reliable transportation -Must pass a background check -Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Submit a resume and cover letter to jobs@foodpantry-jdc.org by Oct 15, 2026.
